Subject:: Recovery of Income Tax :  Non receipt of PAN Numbers .

 

 

            List of individuals whose income tax have been recovered from the salary of Oct, Nov, and Dec 2011 but could not be uploaded to I.T Department due to non availability of  PAN Nos is enclosed as Appendix ‘A’. A list of individual whose PAN Nos are not available is also enclosed as Appendix ‘B’. The income tax recovered by this office from the GREF Officers and subordinates is to be uploaded on the Taxpayer Information Network (TIN) of the Income Tax Deptt.  The TIN system does not accept the income tax amount recovered by this office without the PAN of the individuals.  Consequently, the Income Tax Deptt. does not take into account the income tax recovered by this office while assessing the IT Return and impose penalty for non payment of income tax. Its is therefore requested that the individuals may please be advised to obtain PAN immediately and intimate their PAN to this office (through the unit ) alongwith photocopy of PAN Card  latest by 06.02.2012.

 

            The matter may be accorded “TOP PRIORITY”.
